Bio
Best known for her painterly figurative works, California based artist, September McGee just released several new exciting series and continues to pursue her lifelong passion for creating. She brings color, emotions and a sensuous magic to her renderings, which pulsate with nonpareil energy and technical mastery. With spontaneous deftly rendered brush strokes and a unique palette of color she has built her national reputation as an important American Painter. McGee’s distinctive style blends Impressionism and Realism resulting in expressive paintings and critical acclaim.
September is the winner of eighteen national juried show awards and honors and has an extensive resume of acceptance into over forty prestigious national/international juried exhibitions to date. Versatile in many mediums,she continually strives for excellence and has a passion for expanding her styole and oeuvre as she embarks on novel avenues of creative expression. McGee's paintings have been published in the Pastel Journal Magazine and held a hugely successful One Woman Show in March 2010 in Laguna Beach, CA. Her paintings are held in galleries and numerous private and public collections throughout the world. September holds Signature Member Honors with the Connecticut Pastel Society, CT and The Pastel Society of the West Coast, CA. She is also a published author.
McGee just recently released her latest collection, the Pacific Symphony Collection which just premiered at the Segerstrom Concert Hall, Costa Mesa, CA. And, in addition to her amazing original works, she recently added a beautiful series of giclees on canvas of her original works which are a must have for all art lovers and collectors. The artist accepts a limited number of commissions throughout the year.
