Bio
Degrees in Fine Art and Engineering from Brown University, Providence, RI, post doc position at Brown University Physics Dept., further graduate studies at Dartmouth BioMedical Engineering and then........Fine and Commercial art for the past 30 years. Crazy? No. Just fascinated, looking for ways to be involved with creativity, to enjoy the positive aspects of self-employment, so "follow my nose" to interesting ideas, materials, experiments. There are so many wonderful, amazing, fascinating aspects of a full life -- I don't want to miss any.
My focus is sculpture and fine furniture, or "non-functional sculpture" and "functional sculpture." Really, there is no difference. We all should live with fine art -- it's Fine and it's Art because it meant so much to us we selected it to be part of our lives. I do art for myself, and I do art for others. It is when I can help others find their passion through my art that life is most complete, most satisfying. Here's a few of the projects, issues, opportunities, and contributions I've been fortunate to involved in over the the years:
